Jackson, Mich. (WKHM) — Jackson Public Schools announced Wednesday morning that they have hired Kelly Crum as their new Director of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Curriculum. Kelly previously worked for JPS back in the early 2000s as a health educator, and had been on the leadership team at Jackson College for the past 10 years, serving most recently as their Chief Diversity Officer.
Crum told WKHM, “I am extremely excited to come back home to Jackson Public Schools.”
JPS Superintendent Jeff Beal said he is thrilled to have Kelly back in the JPS family, and that she will help them make their programs more inclusive.
