Jackson based Consumers Energy has reported their net income for 2018 at $657 million, that’s twice what the company earned in 2010. According to Consumers Senior Public Information Director Brian Wheeler, the weather in 2018 provided additional revenue which the company returned to customers in the form of better service and financial assistance. The utility had a net income of $460 million in 2017, but that included $150 million in charges related to federal tax reform.
