Jackson, Mich. (WKHM) — The Leslie Area Chamber of Commerce will once again present the Leslie Lighted Holiday Parade on Saturday in downtown Leslie.
The parade lineup will start at 5:00 p.m. and is scheduled to step off at 7:00 p.m. at the Leslie Middle School parking lot off Kimball Street.
While participation registration is not required, all parade participants must arrive prior to 6:30 so that proper information can be given to the parade announcers.
The Grand Marshall leading this year’s parade will be Leslie Public School’s very own Nancy Lewis.
Parking will be available in parking lot off Commercial Drive, at Woodworth Elementary, and along various side streets.
Other events, and a Kona Ice at the corner of E. Bellevue and Main Street, throughout the day in Leslie include:
- Santa at the Leslie American Legion Post from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
- A cookie sale at Onondaga Community Church from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
- Harmonious Health & Home will host visits with Santa at their downtown location (110 S. Main Street) from 12:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- The Leslie Congregational United Church of Christ will host a Workshop with Santa from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
- The Leslie Area Historical Museum will be open from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
The Leslie High School Choir will also be at the Gazebo at about 6:00 p.m. to perform and to light the Christmas tree at 6:30 p.m.
Volunteers will be passing out Santa hats and candy canes during the parade downtown.
