Ella Sharp Sugaring and Shearing Festival to take place this weekend

UPDATE – MARCH 20, 2025 – THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED TIL 2026.

In an email from Ella Sharp Museum, the notice states:

Due to the forecasted conditions for this Saturday, we have made the difficult decision to cancel this year’s Sugaring and Shearing Festival hosted outdoors. While we are disappointed, the well-being of our guests, staff, and partners comes first, and we appreciate your understanding.

The Ella Sharp Museum’s annual Sugaring and Shearing Festival takes place this Saturday from noon to 4 p.m., with the event being free for all to attend. Marketing and Communications Director Paula Crow told WKHM what Ella Sharp has in store for the event.

The festival has drawn a large number of people in recent years, something the museum expects to continue considering all that it offers to people of all ages.
