Lumen Christi girls soccer to play for D4 state title

Jackson, Mich. (WKHM, Greg O’Connor) — The Lumen Christi girls soccer team will play for a D4 state title Friday afternoon at MSU after the Lady Titans beat Auburn Hills Oakland Christian 3-1 last night at Waterford Kettering.

Lumen Christi was 5-7 after their first dozen tilts. Since then, including post-season straight wins, have outscored the opposition 30-2 with six shutouts. Coach Blake Newman on the Lumen defense featuring goalie Izzy Ermatinger:
