Jackson County Fair Won’t Feature National Acts For 2024 Grandstands

JACKSON, MI – The Jackson County Fair has a rich tradition of bringing some of the biggest national touring acts right to our backyard. The grandstands have seen names like  Beyoncé, Hank Williams Jr, The Beach Boys, Willie Nelson, comedians Jeff Dunham, Gabriel Iglesias, including many others. In 2024 however, things are changing.

As reported first on WKHM with Greg O’Connor, The Fair will not be featuring any big names due to budget constraints. “It’s just become too cost prohibitive for us to get a national name”, said Jackson County Commission Chair Steve Shotwell. Instead, the grandstands will feature 5 nights of family friendly activities to replace the would-be concerts. Shotwell also added that entertainment has already been scheduled for 5 out of the 7 nights that will be affordable for those wanting to attend. Among the grandstand activities will be Kanin Wren, a Michigan native who performs a Taylor Swift experience on August 7th. Tickets are priced between $20-$40 for the ultimate VIP Taylor Swift experience.

Fair attendees can expect the returns of fan favorites The Demolition Derby, Monster Trucks, among others. More details can be found on the fairs website www.jacksoncountyfair.net
