Jackson, Mich. — Thursday a Jackson County jury found LeAndrew Martin guilty of second degree murder and felony firearm stemming from an incident on August 28, 2022.
At 12:30 a.m. that day last year near Greenwood Food & Beverage party store, the incident resulted in the death of Markeithis Smith.
The maximum possible penalty for second degree murder is life in the department of corrections. WKHM spoke with Jackson County Prosecutor Jerry Jarzynka about the case.
