Get ready for a pair of gloves, a sturdy rake, and some time spent in the great outdoors.  It’s fall in Jackson and City residents must now wait their turn to rake leaves onto the curb line.

The city has once again been divided into sections, with each section getting two different leaf pickups between November 7th and December 8th (click the link below for sections and schedules).

Residents are asked not to pile the leave on the curbside until at least 48 hours before your section’s scheduled cleanup.  Leaving lawn waste there for longer than that may cause drain issues or “cause permanent damage to the pavement” according to The City’s official announcement.

You are also asked to remove vehicles, basketball hoops, or anything else that may obstruct the vacuum truck from reaching your pile of leaves.
