Jackson native, who started his life in JAHA, Carter Mazur, was drafted by the Detroit Red Wings Saturday in the amateur draft.
Mazur played last year for Tri-Cities, after a number of years in the Little Caesar’s program, where he was coached by former Wing Kris Draper for a period of time.
Mazur was picked in the third round, number 70 overall. Kris Draper is now the Red Wings head of amateur scouting, and talks about the Carter Mazur selection.
