An adult human skeleton was found lying on a couch in an abandoned home in Detroit.
The skeleton was discovered by a home cleaning crew working for the Detroit Land Bank. The cleaners had done work in the home about a week prior to the discovery, but did not notice the skeletal remains until Thursday, April 22.
The body is so badly decomposed that the gender cannot be immediately determined, but neighbors say that a man had been squatting in the home at one time.
The incident remains under investigation by the Detroit Police Department.
