A car stuck on railroad tracks was hit by an Amtrak train, Friday night in Berrien County. It happened at around 9:30PM near Lynch Road in Hager Township.
According to police, the car got stuck on the tracks when the driver left the roadway at the railroad crossing.
The driver exited the car before it was hit by the Amtrak.
Witnesses say that that the driver fled the scene on foot after the car was struck by the train.
Both the train and vehicle were considerably damaged in the crash.
No one was injured.
The crash remains under investigation.
