The state of Michigan is confirming 977 new cases of COVID-19 today, and 77 new COVID-19 deaths. This brings the cumulative totals to 42,356 cases and 3,866 deaths.
Michigan.gov shows Jackson County as having 381 of those total cases and 22 deaths. These counts do not include those within MDOC facilities in Jackson County, which are listed below.
As of 11:30 p.m. April 30, MDOC reports a total of 644 cases of COVID-19 between prisoners and staff at Jackson facilities, and 13 prisoner deaths.
Henry Ford Allegiance Health today announced that 100 positive COVID-19 inpatients have been treated and discharged.
