A 29 year-old Jackson woman is scheduled to stand trial for her alleged involvement in a 2009 murder.
Tiffany Reichard is scheduled to appear before Judge Thomas Wilson January of 2022 for a jury trial.
Reichard was arrested in 2016 for open murder in the death of 56 year-old Matthew Crampton. Crampton was found stabbed to death in his home back in 2009.
Michael Beatty, Reichard’s then-boyfriend, confessed to stabbing Cramton over 90 times during a robbery gone wrong. Beatty was sentenced to life in prison without parole.
Reichard, who was 17 at the time of the murder, is accused of assisting with the deadly robbery. Initially, she told police that she picked up Beatty, who was covered in blood, at Crampton’s house, then she later changed her story and admitted to helping rob Cramton for money and drugs. Cramton told investigators that she knocked on Cramton’s door so Beatty could rush inside to rob Cramton while she kept a lookout.
Her pre-trial hearing is scheduled for November 2.
