Jackson, MI- Blackman-Leoni Public Safety are investigating a fatal two car accident yesterday July 6th just after 2:30 pm that occurred in Michigan Center at the intersection of Page Avenue and Fifth Street.
The crash happened when the Saturn hit a curb, jumping over the center lines colliding with a black Kia that was westbound on Page Avenue.
The sole occupant of a silver Saturn, 28 year old Richard Kawalske of Leoni Township was pronounced dead at the scene. 86 year old Jerry Chisnell of Grass Lake was occupying the Kia when the accident happened, and he was transported to Henry Ford Allegiance Health with non life-threatening injuries.
