[Jackson, Michigan – April 17, 2020]

The State of Michigan now reports that there have been 30,023 total reported cases of COVID-19 in our state, up 2,227 from yesterday.

The death toll for the state of Michigan at the hands of COVID-19 is 760, up 134 from yesterday.

In Jackson County, the Health Department reports a total of 224 COVID-19 cases, now responsible for 9 deaths in the area. These numbers do not reflect cases in MDOC facilities, which are outlined below.

According to Henry Ford Allegiance Health, as of 12 p.m. today, there are currently 54 inpatients with COVID-19, an additional 5 patients under investigation, and a total of 42 patients have now been treated for COVID-19 and discharged.
