Henry Ford Allegiance Health has begun a new program that allows patients to communicate with their doctor through computer for minor issues. In an e-visit patients fill out a questionnaire which goes directly to their doctor. The doctor responds within one business day to offer a diagnosis and potential treatment plan. The technology is useful in helping people not miss school or work and helps address minor issues before they develop.
