Jackson, Mich. (WKHM) — A Jackson man was taken into custody for assault with intent to murder following a Wednesday morning stabbing in the City of Jackson.
Jackson Police Department (JPD) Chief Christopher A. Simpson announces that on Wednesday (April 29) at approximately 11:05 a.m., officers responded to a disturbance at 145 W. Morrell St.
Upon arrival, JPD officers contacted two injured adult subjects. A 31-year-old Jackson man had several stab wounds to his neck, face, hand, stomach and back.
He was transported to Henry Ford Hospital of Jackson and is currently listed in stable condition.
A 37-year-old Jackson woman was treated and released from Henry Ford Hospital of Jackson for a stab wound to her leg.
The suspect was identified by authorities as 52-year-old Jackson resident, Jamarr Terry. Terry was located in the area of Steward Ave. and Van Buren St. and was taken into custody.
Terry also had injuries to his hand and leg and was taken to Henry Ford Hospital to be treated for his injuries. After being medically cleared, Terry was lodged at the Jackson County Jail for assault with intent to murder.
