Pastor James L. Hines Honored With Partial Street Name for 38 Years at Lily Missionary Baptist Church

Jackson, Mich. (WKHM) — The City of Jackson has approved a resolution honoring and congratulating Pastor James L. Hines (pictured above) for his 38th Pastoral Anniversary at Lily Missionary Baptist Church on 1117 W G Wade Drive.

Jackson Mayor Daniel Mahoney recently honored Pastor Hines at the church, and said during Tuesday’s City Council meeting that he was glad to be able to do it.

 

For the next year, Plymouth Street between East Avenue and Page Avenue will be given the honorary name of Pastor James L. Hines Drive and signs will be erected to display this honor for all to see.

Pastor James L. Hines has served as the pastor of Lily Missionary Baptist Church in Jackson for 38 years, providing spiritual leadership, guidance, and encouragement to his congregation and to the broader Jackson community.

Throughout his years of ministry, Pastor Hines has demonstrated a deep and abiding commitment to uplifting others, particularly through his passion for creating opportunities that empower and inspire young people to reach their full potential.

Under Pastor Hines’ leadership, Lily Missionary Baptist Church has continued its tradition of faith, fellowship, and community service, serving as a place of hope, mentorship, and support for individuals and families throughout Jackson.

Jackson City Council extended their appreciation for his leadership, his advocacy for youth, and his commitment to strengthening and uniting the community.
