2 Men Arrested Following Tuesday Shooting in Jackson, 3rd Arrest Made Wednesday

Jackson, Mich. (WKHM) — Authorities with the Jackson Police Department (JPD) say that they have arrested two people in connection to a shooting that took place in the City of Jackson on Tuesday afternoon.

On April 14, officers with the JPD responded to the 100 block of Wall Street for a shooting.

The victim, who suffered a gunshot wound to the neck, was transported to the hospital with what officials described as non-life-threatening injuries.

Authorities say the victim was inside of his home when suspects, who were outside, began firing in the area of the residence.

According to the JPD, a 22-year-old Jackson man was arrested in relation to the incident for assault with the intent to murder, being a felon in possession of a firearm, and violating a personal protection order.

Another 21-year-old Jackson man was arrested for a conditional bond violation in relation to the shooting.

UPDATE: According to the JPD, detectives investigating the case located several suspects involved in the Wall Street shooting on Wednesday near the area of 1200 block of S. Jackson St.

One suspect tried to evade police by hiding. Officers recovered a handgun from the suspect and he was arrested.

The suspect is a 24-year-old Jackson man. He was lodged at the Jackson County Jail for several Felony charges to include Carrying a Concealed Weapon.
