Jackson, Mich. (WKHM) — The Jackson Police Department (JPD) announced that they seized multiple firearms as well as illegal drugs and arrested three people in relation to a report of shots fired on Wednesday morning.
In the early hours of April 1st, officers with the JPD responding to the shots fired report discovered a house and a vehicle had been struck by bullets.
The investigation eventually led to a search warrant being executed at a residence where authorities say three pistols, four AR-15 rifles, and a small amount of suspected drugs were seized.
Later that day, the Detective Bureau continued the investigation and executed a second search warrant on a related residence.
During that search, another pistol was said to be located along with more suspected drugs and packaging materials. Authorities with the JPD say that a total of three subjects were arrested on related charges.
