Steve Tucker is no longer with the Michigan Theatre of Jackson. The theatre’s website now lists Nan Whitmore as Interim Executive Director. The theatre’s board says it is not commenting on the situation, citing standard employment practices.
Tucker was hired as executive director in March of 2012, he replaced Alison Loveday who held the position for only 14 months. During his tenure, he oversaw several major milestones at the historic venue, including key restoration efforts. He played a significant role in the ongoing capital campaign aimed at raising six million dollars for upgrades such as stage extensions, plaster repairs, and new HVAC systems.
