Jackson, Mich. (WKHM) — The Oak + Iron restaurant on 151 W Michigan Avenue celebrated its official Grand Opening with a ribbon cutting and public launch on Friday afternoon just after 3:00 p.m.

Roberta Dalenberg, one of the restaurant’s owners, told WKHM that the location honors Jackson’s unique history by blending the city’s “Under the Oaks” abolitionist roots with its proud automotive and manufacturing legacy.
Dalenberg also detailed how the inside of the building now differs than the way it looked when the location was still operating as Veritas.

The co-owner said that while it was hard to say goodbye to Veritas, leadership is now more than ready to hit the ground running as Oak + Iron.
