Jackson County Fire Departments have been inundated with grass fires this week. With the warm, dry weather and gusty winds expected in the coming days, the Blackman-Leoni Department of Public Safety has issued a burn ban.
Effective immediately, all outdoor burning in Blackman and Leoni Townships is strictly prohibited, and no burn permits will be issued until further notice.
