Jackson, Mich. — Jackson Drug Summit 7 invites the community to get involved on March 8th. The free event takes place at the American 1 Event Center from 8 a.m.-3 p.m.
The day will include a presentation from Keynote Speaker Dr. Cara Poland who is an expert in addiction medicine. Professionals and community members will also discuss the impact of opioid drug use in Jackson County, as well as prevention, treatment and recovery resources.
Jackson County Prosecutor Jerry Jarzynka says the efforts of this summit and others has not only been to educate the community but has also created action to combat drug use and also to provide support.
