Jackson County Commission Chair Steve Shotwell discusses area tree trimming projects and airport upgrades

Jackson, Mich. — It’s tree trimming season for Jackson County, and also time for a study of one of Jackson’s most problematic intersections to potentially remedy how that intersection flows. County Commission chair Steve Shotwell recently discussed this with WKHM – listen below.

Chairman Shotwell said when you see crews out on the roads, please be careful. “Please watch for road crews out tree trimming. That’s done at this time of year when the trees are dormant,” said Shotwell. “Be patient with us because we do the trimming at this time of year to protect the trees.”

The process continues to move forward for improvements to begin on the tower and terminal building at the Jackson County Airport, as well as a new private flight school coming to the Jackson County Airport. Hear more from Shotwell below:
