County Commissioner Alexander In Critical Condition Following Skydiving Accident In FL

ZEPHYRHILLS, FL – Recently appointed Jackson County Commissioner Jeromy Alexander was is in critical condition after a skydiving accident over the weekend at Skydive City in Zephyrhills, Florida. According to one report, Alexander hit the ground at a very high rate of speed. He was taken to Lakeland Regional Hospital with numerous injuries.

Doctors put Alexander on a ventilator, and induced a coma to assist in at least two separate surgery rounds.  The first surgeries were described by doctors as “successful”, as they waited for the next round of surgeries.

Doctors are hopeful Alexander can come off the ventilator, and return to full consciousness sometime Monday if all goes well.

Alexander was recently selected by County Commissioners to fill the vacant seat left behind by now Mayor Daniel Mahoney.
