A 40 year-old Jackson man accused of brutally assaulting a woman now faces an attempted murder charge.
Last week, Joshua Nelson was arraigned on one count of domestic violence third offense as well as one charge of assault with intent to murder.
On November 7, Nelson brought a brutalized unconscious woman to Henry Ford Allegiance Health with broken ribs and internal injuries.
Nelson was arrested the following day.
His preliminary examination before Jackson District Judge Michael Klaeren is scheduled for November 23.
