A Jackson County Sherriff’s deputy was involved in a non-fatal officer-involved shooting in Summit Township, Friday.
It happened at a residence in the 2500 block of Spring Arbor Road at around 4:30 PM.
A 29 year-old subject was sent to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries. The deputy was not injured.
Details into the incident are limited at this time.
The deputy has been placed on administrative leave per department policy.
The shooting is under investigation by detectives from the First District Special Investigation Section and the MSP Forensic Laboratory.
