We are back!!! The 16th Annual Freedom Festival & Steam Engine Show will be held September 17th through the 19th. 10138 Tompkins Rd. Tompkins Township, Rives Junction, 49277 half a mile North off of M-50, Between Jackson and Eaton Rapids.
The Kick- off will be a Friday night Sept. 17th street dance at the Town Hall, 9999 Tompkins Rd. at 7pm , with music by Karen Kidder-Barrett and the band “Alibi”. Bring your lawn chairs and your dancing shoes.
Saturday, Sept. 18th, 9am to 5pm. At 9:30am there will be a flag raising ceremony to officially open the Festival. Attractions will include; Flea Market, Antique Steam Engines, Gas hit & Miss Engines, Saw Mill, Shingle Mill, Tractor Pulls, Kid’s Tractor Pulls, Indian Camps and a Car Show(Sat. only)from 10am to 2pm. Stop and take a tour of our 1800″s Frontier Log Cabin, Museum tours & a 1900’s Schoolhouse. Also don’t forget to check out our Silent Auction and Bake Sale in the Red Barn. New this year is a bookmobile from Jackson District Library(Sat. Only.) Country Breakfast at the Town Hall Saturday Morning 7AM to 10AM, for a Donation, Sponsored by Pope Church. Food Wagons throughout the event. At dusk is a Sparks Show and so much more to see and do throughout the 2 day event..
Sunday, Sept. 19th. 9am to 3pm. There will be an outdoor Church Service at 9:30 am. Indian camps. Flea Market, the Society will offer logo t-shirts, history and cook books. Silent auction till 12:00pm(noon) Bake sale.
