The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services announced Saturday that it is investigating at least 17 cases of COVID-19 associated with the Faster Horses music festival July 16-19 at the Michigan International Speedway.
The illness was identified among attendees who were considered infectious at the time of the festival, prompting the health agency to caution those who attended.
MDHHS encourages attendees to get tested for COVID-19 if they are not vaccinated or are developing symptoms if vaccinated.
As of this last week, there have been over 899k confirmed cases of the virus, with 19,883 deaths.
