The victim, a 33 year old man from Summit Township was concealed carrying his pistol when it got caught on a piece of machinery and discharged the round striking his leg.  The victim was then transported to Henry Ford Allegiance Health where he was treated for non life threatening injuries.

Responding officers found the pistol was registered to the victim, and alcohol did not play a factor in this incident.  The investigation has been handed off to the Jackson County Prosecutor’s Office for official review.
