COVID-19 Numbers update for Saturday, March 28

The latest report from Michigan.gov shows that Michigan had nearly 1,000 new cases of COVID-19 reported since yesterday’s report. There are 20 cases of COVID-19 reported in Jackson county.

So far, Michigan ranks #5 in the U.S. for number of COVID-19 cases in the state.

Detroit remains the hardest-hit city in Michigan for COVID-19. Details and cumulative data for the virus can be seen at Michigan.gov.

Friday evening, March 27, after some back-and-forth jabs between each other, President Trump approved Governor Whitmer’s request for a Major Disaster Declaration for the state of Michigan. This makes the state of Michigan eligible to participate in the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) programming, which will provide relief for Michiganders impacted by COVID-19.
