Officials have identified the pedestrian struck and killed by an Amtrak train between Dexter and Chelsea, but they have not yet released their name to the public. The victim, from Chicago, was 32 and a law student studying at the University of Michigan.
It happened Tuesday November 5th at around 11:40AM in Lima Township.
According to a witness, the victim may have run in front of the train intentionally.
The incident remains under investigation.
