The former Leoni Township clerk recalled in the last election has been hired by the township as a consultant to assist in the upcoming May 7th election. Michele Manke will earn $35 per hour up to a maximum of $3,000 approved by the board. This comes in the wake of the resignation of clerk Mark Carpenter who defeated Manke in November.
