The Jackson County Commission voted to remove all of embattled Sheriff Steven Rand’s benefits at the Study Session Tuesday morning. The hope is that it will prompt Sheriff Rand to retire. Rand, has been accused of bigotry in the office, and has been allegedly recorded making improper statements towards various groups of people. After the vote, County Commission Chairman Steve Shotwell spoke to Greg O’Connor about the vote.
