This weekend brought a little bit of winter back. Something else it brought was hundreds of people to Jackson Michigan USA. They came from all over the state and some from as far away as Ohio and Indiana. All of them came to experience the 2016 Home & Lifestyle Show held at the Jackson County Fairgrounds Events Center.
Call it a sign of the economy. Call it a place to go to get away from the chilly weekend weather. Call it what you will, but the hosts and over 60 exhibitors at the show are calling it a huge success.
Jean Bement, Executive Officer of the Jackson HBA, said, “We’re seeing that many of the folks coming through the doors are looking for services now.” Attending the show provided homeowners and future homeowners the convenience of having everyone you need to talk to all together at the same time. No driving from one business to another.
“They’re all here. Just look around,” said Sandy Courter of Nowicki Contracting, a mid-Michigan Homebuilder. You could have planned a complete building project with the vendors and businesses represented at the show. From Dirt to Done – in no time flat.
Local real estate professionals are already seeing the market increase with number of new homes but one thing they’re noticing is how quickly they are selling. “This next month is going to be busy with so many new listings for the Jackson Area”, said Kim Gibbs, of Exit Realty 1st located in Jackson, MI. That means the businesses represented at the show will be getting busy and is ultimately a great thing for our local economy.
In a statement made by the HBA of Jackson via their Facebook Page Sunday evening, “THANK YOU to everyone who visited the Home & Lifestyle Show this weekend — so many friendly faces coming through the doors to see our equally friendly exhibitors. We’ll be back next March!”
