Dave Ramsey knows what it's like to have-and lose-it all. By age 26, he had accumulated a personal real estate portfolio worth over $4 million; by age 30, having gotten too far into debt to get out, he declared personal bankruptcy. Ramsey rebuilt his financial life and has gone on to teach others the lessons tha t he learned the hard way. Since 1988, Ramsey has helped thousands through the Lampo Group, Inc., which offers a twelve-week program called Financial Peace University, and sponsors seminars in churches and corporations throughout the country. The popular host of "The Money Game," a nationally syndicated radio talk show dealing with financial matters, he holds a degree in finance and real estate from the University of Tennessee. He and his wife, Sharon, live with their three children in the Nashville area.
