MDOC DIRECTOR HEYNES WARNS ARAMACK



MDOC DIRECT DAN HEYNES IS WARNING A MICHIGAN PRSON FOOD SERVICE VENDOR, ARAMACK, THAT IT WILL BEGIN STRICTLY ENFORCING THE CONTRACT NOW UNDERWAY THAT PROVIDES FOOD SERVICE FOR STATE PRISON INMATES.

THE NOTICE SOMES AS OFFICIALS HAVE PUBLICLY EXPRESED CONCERN ABOUT FOOD SHORTAGES AND OTHER PROBLEMS DEALING WITH THE SERVICE CONTRACT.  EARLIER THIS MONTH CORRECTIONS OFFICIALS WITH THE STATE OF MICHIGAN SENT A LETTER TO ARAMACK NOTIFYING THEM THAT FURTHER VIOLATIONS OF THE PACT AFTER JULY 1ST COULD RESULT IN ACTIONS BY THE STATE.  DIRECTIR HEYNES TALKED ABOUT THE ISSUE LIVE ON WKHM WEDNESDAY MORNING.
