Francis Street Primary School began as a dream, and now CEO Don Tassie will see it become a reality as they have announced their upcoming Ribbon Cutting along with the Jackson County Chamber of Commerce on August 1st at 10:00am. The school is located at 1320 Francis Street.
In a press release the school announced the ribbon cutting is scheduled for 10:15am and an open house will begin immediately after until 11:30am. Guests are invited to join in the celebration, and walk through the new facility. Light refreshments will also be served.
Tassie acknowledged that it has been a long journey to this point. “It has been a four-year journey and the staff and I are pleased beyond words to welcome students and parents to the brand new Francis Street Primary School. As the only public, neighborhood school serving this area of Jackson, we look forward to providing our students and their families an outstanding educational approach with twenty students per classroom, and a different way of teaching and learning. Students will meet rigorous expectations for high achievement, quality work, and positive habits of character in an atmosphere of trust, respect, and joy. Every child will learn, each and every child will be known and cared for and we will all be very kind to each other.” he said in the press release.
