CP Federal Credit Union announced on Wednesday their plans for expansion into Washtenaw County; more specifically, the Saline area. CP is Jackson’s largest locally owned and operated financial institution serving over 52,000 members with eight branches in Jackson County and one in Ingham County. The also partner with over 50 schools to provide financial education for all grade levels, and even have 28 student-run credit unions inside select schools.
“We have been fortunate with our growth and success in Jackson and neighboring communities and are looking to expand into a new market,” Chrissy Siders, President and CEO stated in a press release. “We researched several communities and found the City of Saline to be a perfect fit. Their strong sense of community, commitment to top-notch education and community pride are all things we value and support as a credit union in the communities we serve.” Siders continued.
The proposed branch in Saline would be the first for CP Federal Credit Union in Washtenaw County, and would be only credit union located inside the City of Saline.
