If you are an enthusiast of everything the Great Outdoors have to offer, especially in Michigan, you can’t miss this event.
This Saturday, January 6th, is the Outdoor Adventure Expo in Jackson, geared toward anyone who enjoys the outdoors. “This Expo is the cure for cabin fever. It’s a great opportunity to get out of the house and talk hunting and fishing with fellow outdoorsman,” says Jamie McKibbin,
general manager of Jackson Radio Works & host of the weekly Outdoor Show Saturdays on ESPN 101.9 FM. There will be over 30 exhibitors who specialize in products and services for hunters, fishermen, campers, and more; offering great deals for those who attend this expo.
The event is hosted by Jackson ESPN 101.9 FM and takes place at the American 1 Events Center inside the Jackson County Fairgrounds. It begins at 9am and goes until 4pm. Admission is $5.00 and everyone through the door can enter for a chance to win great door prizes provided by the exhibitors. Those over 21 can enjoy a cold one from the Budweiser Beer Garden.
McKibbin also notes, “Having Commemorative Bucks of Michigan at the expo to score your deer is a huge draw; they will have several scorers on Saturday and you can even enter your deer into the Michigan record book if you’d like.” Winners will abound at this event: There will be door prize giveaways every 15 minutes plus a grand prize of a Walleye Charter Trip from Reel Steel Charters for one lucky fisherman. “I think it’s safe to say we have thousands of dollars in door prizes from our sponsors and vendors that we will give away throughout the day,” says McKibbin. Hunters are invited to bring their buck go on display for a chance to win $500, plus the winner of ESPN’s ongoing Virtual Buck Pole “Show Us Your Rack” will be announced at the expo.
ESPN 101.9 FM is Jackson’s Sports Authority, offering national and local sports-talk radio shows, as well as local and regional game coverage like high school football & basketball, Pistons, Lions, Tigers, Michigan State football & basketball, and more. This is the 11th annual Outdoor Adventure Expo that Jackson ESPN has hosted.
