American 1 Credit Union is well-known for their sponsorship of area events that support the community and local economy.
The Paws & Claws Pet Expo, one of 15 annual events that American 1 Credit Union coordinates themselves, took place Saturday, April 8th, 2017 at the American 1 Events Center. All proceeds for this event including vendor fees, concessions proceeds, donations, and contest proceeds go directly to the Cascades Humane Society (CHS). Donations such as pet food, toys, litter etc. were also collected.
Over 500 residents attended the Paws & Claws Expo which featured a pet fashion show by PetSmart with animals from CHS that were currently available for adoption, dog training demo by Paws and Claws Pet Care, and a dog trick show by Anytime Fitness. Also popular this year was the Cutest Pets Photo Contest sponsored by Unleashed & Lovin’ it with over 100 entries.
And now for the grand total raised for the Cascades Humane Society:
$3,700!
